Machine Setter Operator
Location: Thetford
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 15:00 pm
Hourly Rate: £13 p/h, moving to £13.50 p/h after successful probation

Staffing Match, a trusted provider of logistics and distribution solutions, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Setter & Operator to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accurate setup and efficient operation of production lines to deliver high-quality results while adhering to specifications.

Key Responsibilities as Machine Setter Operator:

Setup and Preparation:

• Prepare production lines and components per specifications.

• Adjust nozzles, capping machines, and labels to meet requirements.

• Perform cleaning and changeovers efficiently.

Line Operation:

• Operate lines to meet or exceed speed targets.

• Conduct quality checks and address issues promptly.

• Handle components, shrink film, and label changes as needed.

Team Support and Training:

• Assist and train operatives, addressing skill gaps.

• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Quality and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Perform regular checks and address deviations.

Technical Assistance:

• Support engineers and address minor production issues.

Requirements as Machine Setter Operator:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Must be honest, hardworking, enthusiastic, and reliable.
