The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC, Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP) is the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organisation in Poland raising money for paediatric and elderly care. Thousands of events are run once a year on a Sunday in January.

This charity and the projects they organise are very important to some of our employees at Staffing Match. In particular Magda Opoka, our Regional Manager for the Midlands. She is very close to the charity, as it has resulted in primary care for her relatives who have needed intensive support. This January, she supported a local event in Banbury for the GOGC, she was in charge of the marketing and promotion of the event, to attract attendees to the event and was also a part of the organisation committee. Some of her clients and colleagues will know, but she and her mother baked their infamous Pavlovas which they were selling on the day to raise money for the charity.
