It’s our third year in a row, in which the whole of Staffing Match get together and host a Packing Party for Operation Christmas Child.
Our Operation Christmas Child Committee, Tyra Ali (HR Manager), Jo Fox (Head of Support Services) and Daniella Groom (Project Director) get together each year, and buy as many goodies as possible to fill 250 shoeboxes of treats and some basic necessary items, which we all take for granted, and pack them across our branches in the UK. These shoeboxes are then collected by the Samaritans Purse, who transport and distribute these boxes to children, who are very much less fortunate then us during this Christmas period. Our boxes which we packed in 2018 reached Romania!
This year, our OCC Packing Parties kicked off at 4pm, we enjoyed a lot of pizza and the buzz around packing the boxes was fantastic, knowing that the boxes which we were packing will be opened by a young child hopefully with a smile on his and her face.
A special thanks to our Directors, Salman, Michael and Dan who heartily support and contribute to this very worthy charity by buying all the shoeboxes and the contents which we put into the boxes. As well as all of the Staffing Match staff, who take time out of their evenings to help pack the items.
Operation Christmas Child is organised by the Samaritans Purse. Supporters generously pack a medium sized shoebox with a selection of fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies to bring joy to children all around the world.
